words to live by.

gets me every time.

Noah: You’re bored! You’re bored and you know it! You wouldn’t be here if there weren’t something missing.

Allie: You arrogant son of a bitch!

Noah: Would you just stay with me?

Allie: Stay with you? What for? Look at us, we’re already fighting.

Noah: Well that’s what we do. We fight. You tell me when I’m being an arrogant son of a bitch and I tell you when you’re being a pain in the ass. Which you are 99% of the time. I’m not afraid to hurt your feelings. You have like a two second rebound rate and you’re back to doing the next pain in the ass thing.

Allie: So what.

Noah: So it’s not going to be easy. It’s going to be really hard. And we’re going to have to work at this every day. But I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, every day.

The Notebook.

I just love grilled cheese and tomato soup. What a delicious combo.

love this.

love this.

yes.

I caught up with an old friend today. It was fantastic. I wish I had more time to do that around here - everything is so busy all the time. I’m definitely ready to relax this summer.

On another note, two months from now I will be getting ready to leave for Italy! I could not be more excited.

Go.

So, I’ve never really done this before. But I have always wanted to keep some sort of record of life - thoughts, happenings, pictures, things I like and dislike. I’m going to try it out. Here we go.

To begin… I’m still figuring myself out. I think I have a little bit of an identity crisis every single day. But in the end, I have an idea of where I’m going and who I want to be. And that includes where I am and who I am now. And I’m happy with that.

What I’ve been obsessed with lately:

1. Eat Pray Love. I just finished this book, and I wish it didn’t have to end. I think one quote from the story sums it up: “I crossed the street to walk in the sunshine.” The author takes every risk possible, leaves everything behind, and travels around the world to find herself. I wish I had the guts to do that.

2. Sunshine. Can’t wait to see more of it in the coming months.

3. All Those Pretty Lights. Such a pretty song. Stuck in my head all day, and I’m not complaining.

4. The barbeque ranch chicken salad I had for dinner today. So, so, so, so good.

5. Michigan. The state, not the school. What a great place to live. My whole life is here. In the next year, I’m going to be traveling and moving around a lot, but I’m so thankful that I’ll always have this great place to come back to.

6. Acrylic paints. We’ve been studying color theory in my Color & Design class, and I LOVE working with these paints to manipulate and create color. It’s a treat.

That’s all for today. I’ll try to keep up with this…
